Sitka D. Stueve is a Clinical Social Worker who is dually licensed in Kansas & Missouri. She has a diverse background in multiple practice settings. She has served as an IOP Clinician, as the Western Region Program Director at Preferred Family Healthcare; she served for six years at Wyandot Center for Behavioral Healthcare as a Supervisor & as a Mental Health Counselor. Most recently, she served the Marine Corp as the Regional Director of Psychological Health of the Midwest Region for the past five years, prior to founding Dawning of a New Day Counseling.
She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Kansas. Throughout her 20 years of clinical practice, she has had extensive training and experience working with military stress & trauma; relational distress & dynamics; communication & conflict resolution issues; and is a Preferred Provider for Anxiety & Depressive Issues, Eating Disorder Problems & Financial Planning. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified Coaching Professional, Certified Substance Abuse Professional, a Prepare & Enrich Marriage Facilitator & a Clinical Supervisor. Announcing: Adrienne Taylor, LSCSW, LCSW, CCH I have a passion for helping people improve their well-being. The mind and body are interconnected. I utilize techniques that empower my clients to create lasting change. These techniques enables them to focus on reaching goals that lead to greater personal achievement and satisfaction in life. My interest in hypnosis and life coaching was born out of my personal struggle with chronic pain and the emotional difficulties associated with chronic illness. I understand the frustration; I know the anguish and desperation. I also know there is hope. I would love to support you in your journey to wellness.
Adrienne Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology as well as a Masters Degree in Social Work. She is also certified in Medical and Clinical hypnotherapy and Life Coaching. Adrienne has over 15 years of experience working in a variety of clinical settings with a diverse range of people. She currently works with adults but does work with children for special conditions.
Her practice specialties include: Chronic Illness/Pain, Preparation for Surgery, Anxiety, Phobias, Smoking Cessation, Stress Management, Personal Development and Performance Enhancement for Testing Anxiety, Sports, and Public Speaking. Deborah J. Moon, LMSW, PhD
Coming on Board: Deborah J. Moon, LMSW, PhD Candidate Life is improvisation, an endless process of becoming”. In our journey to become whole, life brings us all kinds of challenges, struggles, and pain. As a therapist, it is my honor to help you to make sense out of those experiences and find meaning and purpose in life. I enjoy being a listener, a coach, a companion, and a witness to growth for another human being at various points of ups and downs in his or her life journey.
Deborah J. Moon is licensed to work in the state of Kansas at the masters’ level. She has earned graduate degrees in music therapy (New York University, 2004) and clinical mental health social work (University of Maryland, Baltimore, 2014). Currently, she is a Ph.D candidate and a lecturer for social work undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Kansas, teaching human behavior theories and cognitive behavioral therapy. Additionally, Deborah is conducting behavioral health research at KU Medical Center, which inform her evidence-based clinical mental health practice. Having been certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Deborah’s primary therapeutic interventions are based on cognitive behavioral approaches. However, she frequently incorporates other techniques and creative arts such as music based on her previous work as a keyboard instructor, a choir accompanist, a composer, and a board-certified music therapist.
Deborah specializes in working children and adolescents with a history of trauma exposure and their families. Additionally, she works with adults with depression, anxiety, and adjustment issues as well as migrant and/or immigrant families struggling with cultural transition.
